The Renewable Energy Training Centre (RETC) is a pioneering initiative committed to strengthening Uganda’s renewable energy sector through high-quality technical training and capacity building. Established in 2016, RETC bridges critical skills gaps by equipping professionals, institutions, and businesses with the expertise needed to drive sustainable energy solutions.
With a focus on hands-on, practical learning, RETC delivers specialized courses in solar, hydro, biomass, and energy efficiency, tailored for both public and private sector stakeholders. Its programs combine cutting-edge knowledge with real-world applications, fostering innovation and operational excellence in Uganda’s clean energy transition.
Since its inception, RETC has trained hundreds of professionals, empowering them to implement and maintain renewable energy systems effectively.
